All that’s in my heart:
Tiny waves meeting
A shore of faith.

On the sand,
I look for the Jesus-boat,
Bound for the horizon.

David Abram Milanaik is a Messianic Jew and Catholic supporter in Evergreen, Colorado.  He studied poetry at Princeton and then Southampton College, and now engages literature online with Liberty.  He has been an educator in the Denver area, including Mullen High School, where he received his deepest introduction to the power and elegance of the teachings of both St. Jean-Baptiste de La Salle and the Holy See.  Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!

Since 2019, the Catholic Poetry Room (www.CatholicPoetry.org) has shared a new poem with readers each week. Poems range in style from formal to free verse to ekphrastics, with an honest expression of each author’s spiritual journey. Many Catholic Poetry Room adult readers are new to poetry and find the poems both accessible and enjoyable. The Catholic Poetry Room is also used by Catholic School teachers, who find the poems an excellent way to begin the day with their students, to pray, or use Catholic Poetry Room verse in their academic classes.
