and dark. Tomorrow we’ll
taste the dust again
but for now the stars spill
out across the sky like milk
dripping honey. And who knows
if somewhere
a son is about to
be born. His eyes
dark. Time trembling
already, waiting to be
shattered by the sound
of his first
laugh.
